of the Bouse Elementary School Dress Code
Dress Code
The Bouse Elementary School Districtt encourages students to take pride in their attire as it relates to the school setting. Students should dress in a manner that is conducive to a learning environment. A student's dress and appearance shall not present a health or safety problem or be of a disruptive nature.
The Board authorizes the principal to make the final decision on acceptable clothing in all instances.
The following dress code w'ill be reinforced by all staff members:

A telephone call will be made to home to acquire acceptable attire
or appropriate clothing can be loaned to students in the office.
As a general rule,
- Clothes worn to school should be comfortable (not tight) and be consistent with proper standards of decency.
- Clothes should be neat and clean.
- They are an important part of how we present ourselves.
- Students should use good judgment and consult with parents about issues of dress.
- If you are unsure of whether an article of clothing is appropriate, it is better to play it safe and find an alternate article to wear.
We want to create a safe educational environment with students dressing for success!
School is a place for education and learning ... Your clothes should reflect this!
These same dress code rules apply at school, on school trips or at any school activity. Exceptions for special activities or health considerations may be pre-approved by the principal. Students who volunteer for extra-curricular activities, such as athletics, are subject to the standards of dress as defined by the sponsors of such activities.
