Mr. Reiff’s 7th and 8th Grade Class

NEWS for the February 2012

January was an excellent month for the Seventh and Eighth grades.

  • The students are studying the rock cycle and the properties of matter.
  • In writing, the class is working on research papers.
  • The students are learning how to site sources, and how to use their research as a means to prove a thesis. In Social Studies, the class will soon be using weekly readers to learn about current events.
  • Reading is going well, however there is much room for improvement.
  • Please encourage your child to read his or her AR book at home as often as possible.
In sports news, the soccer season is in full swing, and most of the students are participating in what should be an exciting and busy season. Please come out to see the kids and Coach Kimberlin represent our school.
